Material & Production Process

Formulation Design

PVC waterstop is manufactured using polyvinyl chloride resin as the main raw material, combined with plasticizers, stabilizers, lubricants, and other additives. The combination of additives determines the product's flexibility, weather resistance, and durability. Our formulation is optimized in the following aspects:

  • Plasticizers – Control hardness, ensuring no brittle fracture at low temperatures and no excessive softening at high temperatures

Stabilizers – Improve thermal stability, reducing the risk of decomposition during processing and service

  • Lubricants – Enhance extrusion performance, resulting in a smooth surface and uniform dimensions

Production Process

The production of PVC waterstop involves the following main steps, each with in-process quality control:

  • Mixing:PVC resin and various additives are fed into a high-speed mixeraccording to the formula and blended until uniformly dispersed

  • Pelletizing:The mixed material is processed into uniform pellets by an extruder-pelletizer, ready for the next stage

  • Extrusion:The pellets are melted and homogenized in a single-screw or twin-screw extruder, then continuously extruded through a die of therequired cross-section

  • Cooling & Setting:The extruded strip passes through a water tank or cooling rollers torapidly set and maintain dimensional accuracy

  • Cutting & Packing:Cut to customer-required lengths, inspected, then coiled or stacked forpackaging and warehousing
