A modular expansion device composed of steel profiles and rubber sealing strips, achieving large longitudinal expansion displacement and transverse rotation through the coordinated operation of multiple intermediate beams and support systems. It offers strong load bearing capacity and reliable sealing performance, making it a commonly used expansion joint solution for medium to large span bridges and heavy traffic conditions. The number of modules, steel profile section height and support spacing can all be flexibly adjusted according to design requirements.
Finger Type Expansion Joint
An expansion device consisting of interleaved finger shaped steel plates that mesh with each other to form a load bearing surface, providing smooth and comfortable vehicle passage with relatively low noise. This joint type allows free expansion and contraction of the beam along the bridge axis while offering good drainage and self cleaning capability, and is widely used in long span bridges and road sections with high requirements for driving comfort. Tooth geometry parameters, plate thickness and material can be custom designed according to engineering requirements.
Rubber Slab Expansion Joint
An expansion device primarily made from rubber elastomer materials, utilizing the high elasticity of rubber to absorb beam displacement, with a relatively simple structure. It generally accommodates smaller expansion ranges and is suitable for small to medium span bridges and low traffic volume roads, offering an economical and practical solution for bridge deck joint treatment. Rubber slab thickness, width and cross sectional shape can be customized according to specific engineering requirements.
