Product Overview
PVC waterstop is made primarily from polyvinyl chloride and embedded in concrete joints to form a continuous waterproof barrier. Its flexible profile structure accommodates slight joint movement and deformation, while the material's corrosion resistance allows stable long term performance in damp and chemically active underground environments. Multiple profile types are available, including dumbbell, center bulb, and ribbed forms, for construction joints and movement joints respectively. Width and thickness can be adjusted according to concrete cover thickness and expected displacement, to match the structural conditions of different projects.
Features
Good flexibility and elasticity for accommodating slight joint movement and vibration in concrete.
Stable resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and common groundwater media.
Smooth surface with tight concrete bonding for a reliable water blocking path.
Convenient hot air welding on site for continuous and dense joints with high installation efficiency.
Lightweight material with simple handling and positioning for various construction environments.

Applications
Basement Construction Joints: Used for joint waterproofing between slabs and walls, forming a continuous water blocking path.
Tunnels and Underground Passages: Embedded in lining joints to accommodate surrounding rock deformation and groundwater pressure.
Diaphragm Wall Joints: Used at panel joint locations to block seepage paths along the joint direction.
Pipe Penetrations: Fitted around pipe surfaces to seal annular gaps where pipes pass through concrete walls.
New to Existing Concrete Interfaces: Used in post poured strips and repair areas to connect new and existing structures and prevent interface leakage.
Underground Utility Tunnels: Used in segmental pouring joints and movement joints to keep the tunnel interior dry.
Coastal and High Groundwater Projects: Maintains stable sealing performance in saline groundwater environments over the long term.
Usage and Installation Recommendations
Check that the waterstop surface is clean and intact before installation, avoiding damage and oil contamination.
Ensure the center bulb aligns with the joint centerline during fixing, with edges not folded or twisted.
Connect adjacent waterstops using hot air welding, ensuring the weld area is dense and uniform.
Pour concrete in stages with adequate vibration to ensure no gaps between the waterstop and concrete.
Store flat in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and organic solvents.
